Q. Is there a service where I can let the library know what books I need for a paper and they will collect them all for me?

There are a couple of different things you can do.

IF CMU LIBRARY OWNS THE BOOK: you can place a hold on it and pick it up at the Library Services Desk on the second floor of the library. Look in the libraries catalog, and check for the title of the book. Once you find the book that you want at the top of the page click on the GET THIS FOR ME button.  You will need to log in using your global ID and global ID password.  Once it is ready for you to pick up you will receive an email, and it will be available at the Library Services Desk.

IF CMU LIBRARY DOES NOT OWN THE BOOK: Go to your Documents on Demand account, and sign in using your global ID and global ID password.  On the left side of the page under New Requests, click on Request a Book.  Fill out as much information as you have on the book. Documents on Demand staff will process this request, and again when the book is ready for you to pick up you will receive an email.

If you have any questions please contact Documents On Demand at 989 774-3022 or askdod@cmich.edu
