Q. Can I download software on the library's public computers?

In an effort to keep CMU’s network and data safe, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) continuously reviews and updates security standards. Disabling the function to install software helps ensure the safety of university owned computers and personal data of all faculty, staff, and students.
If you need course-related software that is currently unavailable, please contact the helpdesk and submit a request that will be reviewed for consideration by Office of Information Technology staff.
